| South
West and North West Provinces, Cameroon
The
two Anglophone regions of Cameroon comprise what was former British
Southern Cameroon. They are the South West and
North West Provinces. These areas are very backward
in terms of development and access to educational opportunities.
The
two provinces have a population of about six million people and
people depend on farming and petty-trading for their livelihood.
A small number work for the public service.
However
the majority of them, either graduates or other unemployed young
people, have taken to travelling abroad in a bid to seek greener
pastures, and prosperity, a thing they cannot find back at home.
